Installation Manual | I.Notes
1.Carbon sleeve is a brittle product,so be sure to carry it gently and not to hit it.
2.When installing,be sure not to wear oil-stain gloves and to ensure that carbon sleeve surface is not stained with oil. 3.Inspect whether roll shaft has any bending,if so,replace roll shaft. 4.Inspect whether there are any residues on the surface of repeatedly used roll shaft,if so,clean up the roll shaft before using it. |
||
Il.Steps
1.Place the pre-assembled carbon sleeve on a board made of soft material,arranged in the same direction.
2.Gently pass the roll shaft through carbon sleeve by the drive side.Aim anchor key at carbon sleeve notch and then fasten it with lock screw.Note that lock screw can't come off on production line. 3.When installing carbon sleeve to production line,well cushion furnace mouth with thin asbestos board to avoid scrape and rub. 4.Prior to installation,clean up the furnace inner and keep furnace inner clean. 5.Use assembler to install carbon sleeve to production line;that is,slowly move it into furnace,avoiding it being scraped by furnace mouth,which will result in adhering slag. |

Advantages | Graphitic Carbon Sleeve at Ambient Temperature | Graphitic Carbon Sleeve at High Temperature |
Graphitic carbon sleeves engineered for use at ambient temperature offer a host of benefits that make them an attractive choice for various industrial applications. These advantages stem from the intrinsic properties of graphitized carbon and its compatibility with different operational environments. 1. Superior Wear Resistance: The graphitic structure provides excellent lubricity, even without additional lubricants. This means the sleeve can maintain low friction coefficients and reduce wear on mating components, leading to longer service life and reduced maintenance costs. 2. Corrosion Resistance: Graphitic carbon is inherently resistant to many corrosive agents, including water, acids, and alkalis. This property ensures that the sleeve remains intact and functional in challenging chemical environments, preventing degradation over time. 3. Thermal Stability: Even though designed for ambient temperatures, graphitic carbon sleeves exhibit minimal thermal expansion and contraction. They can withstand sudden temperature changes without significant deformation, making them reliable across a wide range of operating conditions. 4. Self-Lubricating Capability: Due to the layered structure of graphite, which allows layers to slide past one another easily, these sleeves possess self-lubricating characteristics. This feature reduces the need for external lubrication, simplifying assembly processes and reducing the risk of contamination. 5. Dimensional Stability: Graphitic carbon maintains its shape and size under varying loads and environmental conditions. This stability is crucial for maintaining precision in machinery operations and ensuring consistent performance. 6. Electrical Conductivity: While not always a requirement, the electrical conductivity of graphitic carbon can be beneficial in applications where static charge dissipation or electrical grounding is necessary. 7. Lightweight: Compared to metal counterparts, graphitic carbon sleeves are significantly lighter, which can contribute to energy savings in moving parts and ease of installation. 8. Environmental Friendliness: Graphitic carbon does not contain harmful substances like heavy metals, contributing to safer disposal practices and a more environmentally friendly manufacturing process. In summary, graphitic carbon sleeves used at ambient temperatures provide a durable, efficient, and cost-effective solution for applications requiring high performance under standard operating conditions. Their unique combination of physical and chemical properties makes them indispensable in industries such as automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, and beyond. |
Graphitic Carbon Sleeves designed for high-temperature applications exhibit a range of superior properties that make them indispensable in industries where extreme heat is a constant factor. These benefits stem from the intrinsic characteristics of graphitized carbon, which not only withstands elevated temperatures but also enhances performance in several critical areas. 1. Superior Thermal Stability: Graphitic carbon maintains its structural integrity even when exposed to very high temperatures. This material does not melt or degrade until extremely high temperatures are reached, making it suitable for use in furnaces, engines, and other machinery that operate under intense thermal conditions. 2. Minimal Thermal Expansion: Unlike many metals, graphitic carbon has a low coefficient of thermal expansion. This means that as temperatures rise, the sleeve will experience minimal dimensional changes, ensuring consistent fit and function within tight tolerances without the risk of warping or seizing. 3. Self-Lubricating Properties: The layered structure of graphite allows for easy sliding between layers, providing inherent lubrication even at elevated temperatures. This self-lubricating feature reduces wear on mating parts and eliminates the need for additional lubricants that may break down at higher temperatures. 4. Corrosion Resistance: Graphitic carbon sleeves resist oxidation and chemical attack by various substances, including molten metals and corrosive gases. This property ensures long-term durability and reliability in harsh environments. 5. Electrical Conductivity: Graphitic carbon retains its electrical conductivity at high temperatures, which can be advantageous in applications requiring electrical contact or dissipation of static electricity. 6. Mechanical Strength Retention: Despite the increase in temperature, graphitic carbon sleeves maintain a significant level of mechanical strength. They can support heavy loads and endure mechanical stresses without compromising their physical properties. 7. Chemical Inertness: At high temperatures, graphitic carbon remains chemically inert, reacting minimally with surrounding elements. This characteristic makes it ideal for use in chemical processing equipment and reactors. 8. Emission Reduction: The non-metallic nature of graphitic carbon sleeves can contribute to reduced emissions of harmful pollutants compared to metal components, supporting more environmentally friendly industrial practices. In conclusion, Graphitic Carbon Sleeves for high-temperature applications offer an unmatched combination of thermal stability, mechanical strength, and chemical resistance. These attributes ensure reliable operation in some of the most challenging industrial settings, thereby enhancing efficiency and extending the service life of equipment. Industries such as automotive manufacturing, aerospace engineering, metallurgy, and petrochemical processing benefit significantly from the advantages provided by these specialized sleeves. |
